STUFFIE/CHOWDER COMPETITION & A CONCERT
On Saturday, August 16th, a STUFFED QUAHOG AND CHOWDER COMPETITION WILL BE HELD from 2:00 to 4:00 pm FOLLOWED BY A
CONCERT by “Who Made Who” (an AC/DC tribute band) from 5:00 to 8:00 pm – all for ONE PRICE of $25.00.
Tickets are available at the CUP DEFENDERS ASSOCIATION which is where this event is taking place – at 230 WOOD STREET in Bristol, RI.
This event is unique in the fact that ALL ATTENDEES ARE THE JUDGES and ALL of the competing entrants’ stuffies and chowder being voted on are made by LOCAL BUSINESSES, PUBS and RESTAURANTS. You, the voter will only know the product you’re tasting by NUMBER and will vote by number for a first, second and third place winner in each category – stuffie and/or chowder. Some of the participants are submitting only a stuffie OR only a chowder. The identities of the winners will be announced by NAME, just before the concert begins (estimated between 4:30 and 5:00 pm).
In addition to the competition and concert, we will have other foods and drinks available at unbelievable prices, like a meatball sandwich for $4.00 or a Bud Light draft for $3.00. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, we’re holding the event in our backyard. Come and enjoy the day, we may have other surprises that will make our FIRST TIME HOLDING THIS EVENT very memorable.
