Formed in 2023, Chorley-based British Birds blend psych-tinged melancholy with disco-doused dystopia, crafting their sound entirely in-house — from recording and producing to screen printing their merch. Frontman Bobby’s cathartic vocals and jangling guitar meet Ellie’s driving basslines, Mikey’s powerhouse drumming, and Emma’s earworm synth and harmonies. The quartet have won fans nationwide supporting The Lovely Eggs, Pale Blue Eyes, and The Bug Club, plus three BBC 6 Music sessions with Marc Riley.

South Wales-based Waterpistol craft a distinctive blend of dark ’60s guitar psychedelia and euphoric shoegaze, pairing jangly guitars and hypnotic percussion with trippy male-female vocal harmonies. Drawing inspiration from artists such as The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Shack, Mazzy Star, and The La’s, their hazy, transportive sound has earned them airplay on BBC Radio Wales and Amazing Radio. Since forming in 2022, the band have played festival stages including Green Man, Sŵn Festival, Nozstock, FOCUS Wales, and In It Together, continuing to build a reputation for immersive, dreamlike performances.
