Join The Hon. Steve Minnikin MP, the Minister for Customer Services and Open Data and Minister for Small and Family Business, for an exclusive luncheon hosted by AIIA, where he will provide an update on his progress in making Queensland into Australia’s most customer-focused state government.
The Minister will discuss his vision to move government away from the current siloed approach to ICT procurement, which will deliver greater value for taxpayers’ money. This whole of government coordinated approach will drive better-connected digital systems and services that work seamlessly together to serve Queenslanders.
Finally, the Minister will convey how the Crisafulli Government is linking Open Data and the adoption of new and emerging technologies and deliver an update on measures the Government is taking to bolster cyber security resilience across departments and agencies.
Don’t delay getting your ticket to this event, which are available in tables of ten, or you can buy individual tickets. We are proud to support Hummingbird House with $10 from each ticket sold donated to this important charity.
Hummingbird House is Queensland’s only children’s hospice, caring for children from across the state with life-limiting conditions — from newborns in the neonatal stage through to young people aged 18. We provide short break stays, family support, creative therapies, and expert end-of-life care, all tailored to the unique needs of each child and family. More than just a medical facility, Hummingbird House is a warm and welcoming home-away-from-home where families can make precious memories, celebrate milestones, and find comfort and care during what is, the most difficult and heartbreaking time imaginable.
Steve Minnikin was appointed Minister for Customer Services and Open Data and Minister for Small and Family Business following the election of the Crisafulli Government in October 2024. Steve is the Minister responsible for establishing a new Department focussed on delivering Australia’s most customer service focused government, including streamline government services for Queenslanders and small businesses.
Steve was first elected to Parliament in 2012 as Member for Chatsworth in Brisbane’s south-east following a successful business career, which included retail property management and the development industry. His background in private industry and work as a Shadow Minister has reinforced the importance of high-quality customer service and the value of small and family business for all Queenslanders.
