Let Evening Come is the love story between the son of an Indigenous family displaced from their ancestral home on the Tar Sands of Canada and a motherless farm girl from Michigan. Together they combat suspicion and bigotry on both sides of the border and the cultural differences that separate them.

Yvonne's writing has recently appeared in the Milkhouse Literary Magazine and the novel was recently nominated for the Women's National Book Association's Great Group Reads. She is a fifth-generation Michigander who grew up on the family farm in the Thumb of Michigan. She is a Pushcart-nominated poet and storyteller. Her writing has appeared in the Great Lakes Review, the Midwest Review, Slippery Elm, the Flapper Press and elsewhere. Her debut novel, Let Evening Come, was the publisher’s #1 Bestseller of 2024.
