WITH RECENT ANNOUNCEMENT OF BRIGHTON COUNCILS DECISION TO OPEN ST JAMES STREET UP OUTSIDE THE PVP ZONE, we believe this will cause a major Problum that can be avoided.
After recent discussions with BHCC & PRIDE CIC and concluding with new laws “Martyn’s law” as well as trying to resolve the threat of legal challenges by the same people, as well as legality and responsibility upon BHCC recent consultation with residents.
PRIDE has adapted its PVP zone to meet responsible changes for all key areas. That ticks boxes with all key points of interest and legal
Challenges when looking into potential legal challenges that were threatened with.
This has resulted in St James street being under control by BHCC, whom want to open the road as it is now, we all know this is just not acceptable.
This will
- Opem SJS to a free for all party that will be busy causing a security risk and a weakness for a potential terrorist activity.
- Anti social behaviour free for all, under age drinking, un conforming people as well as opportunistic crime related incidents.
-Security with traffic
-Residents will
Experience more unwelcome activity than before, as this will not be secured.
-A split in the crowds with 2 focal points for people to meet and protest thought liberation.
-Lack of services for such a cowed to be on SJS, such as sanitation, cleaning an management.
ST JAMES STREET is the heart of our community. To think our community will not be there over pride is a massive inspire of judgment.
We will be there and in great numbers, SO SECURITY NEEDS TO BE IN PLACE & managed.
If BHCC thinks that this is the answer to the village party’s problems, you going to make it worse!
And our community is worried about security at the time of an event that would have pulling power for danger to be used at.
WE CALL FOR ST HAMES STREET TO BE SECURED OR RESTORED.
We understand changes need to happen. But the people are coming, you can’t stop Them. So manage the situation and learn from the past mistakes.
BUCC are souls responsible for this and we will hold you to
Account if it goes wrong and with all the complaints you will get after, you have been warned.
But we are worried about our safty in our community, so we call upon our community to close at James street during pride weekend via a protest as PRIDE IS A PROTEST.
We are also arranging a protest next month, if the council does not take this seriously
