After releasing a series of singles – little tasters of my new album I Think I've Said Too Much – I’m marking the official launch with a special, intimate show at The Folklore Rooms in Brighton.
It’s been a journey getting this record together, and I’d love to share it with you in the kind of space it was meant for — up close, laid-back, and honest.
I’ll be playing the full album (plus a few older tunes), with that usual mix of rhythmic finger-style acoustic guitar, soulful vocals, and lyrics that reflect the emotional messiness of modern life, ranging from the personal to the slightly twisted. There’ll be irony, pathos, and maybe even some joy!
"His exploration of the human condition echoes Scott Walker" – The Musician Magazine (MU)
"Outstanding soul vocals" (for Hardkandy) – The Telegraph Magazine
"Sweet, evocative, soulful" – The Argus
Special guest support comes from the wonderful Sharon Lewis. Much revered for her tender and heartfelt songs, this enchanting songstress was one half of highly regarded duo Pooka. She has collaborated with eclectic artists such as Orbital, 1 Giant Leap, Nick Hemming from The Leisure Society.
