About the event

Sealife silk painting
Perfect for beginners, a fun floral silk painting created on an embroidery loop - take away a handmade piece of art for your home!

Dive into a calm and creative silk painting workshop at Liberation Art Gallery, inspired by the beauty of sea life and underwater worlds. In this guided session, participants will paint flowing marine designs such as seahorses, fish, coral, and ocean plants onto silk, creating a vibrant textile artwork.

You’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of silk painting, learning how dyes move and blend across silk to capture the softness and movement of water. Working within an embroidery hoop frame, each participant will create a finished underwater-themed artwork that reflects the rhythm and colour of the ocean.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and welcomes all levels of experience. The focus is on exploration, colour, and enjoyment, with gentle guidance provided throughout. By the end of the session, you’ll take home your completed silk artwork, mounted in an embroidery hoop and ready to hang.
