Living with AI: A Humanist Conversation about Power, Progress, and Possibility:

Artificial Intelligence (A.I) is fast becoming a pervasive force in our lives, shaping everything from art and employment to surveillance, warfare, and even social relationships. But while AI is growing rapidly, it is also raising controversial issues. Ethics, copyright, and the potential for mass unemployment are some of the near-term problems AI is already causing, with some futurologists highlighting more long-term concerns about the potential for AI to even replace us entirely.
Brighton Humanists explores whether these concerns are justified in a presentation led by member William Van Zwanenberg. In addition to investigating these issues, we’ll be involving the audience, with a Q+A session where you can voice your opinion on what is fast becoming a polemic issue.
