It’s time for another Lava Elastic event…hurrah! This time we’re at The wonderful Rosehill, Brighton!
For those of you who are new to us, Lava Elastic is a comedy and poetry night with a difference and was launched as the UK’s first openly neurodiverse comedy and poetry night in Brighton a few years ago (around 2017) we went online in the pandemic for a while, then were awarded Arts Council England funding for a couple of national tours to various cities and now we’re really happy to be back in Brighton with more truly brilliant comedy acts and some fantastic poetry
Hosted by ‘Lava’s’ founder, late diagnosed performer (Autism/ADHD) Sarah Saeed June’s line-up is pretty fantastic including
-Isabel Songer
Spoken word performer/poet with a genuinely unique approach to storytelling. Her writing is known for a distinct, thrillingly fast-paced rhythmic style combined with her light-hearted, conversational tone.
Also a filmmaker and theatre performer…recent show Flat 4 (which is also at Brighton Fringe 2025) was a standout at last year’s Fringe, won a festival bursary award and got 4-star reviews at Camden Fringe 2024.
Songer is also the creator of female-led short film series Safe Space which has won awards at Cinecity and Brighton Rocks
-Adam Dorr, hilarious neurodivergent comedian with a cynical and absurdist sense of humour.
Come along to the night and laugh at (and with) the world’s most awkward man
Plus more bonuses…including a spot of comedy opera and other surprises
Lava Elastic is a night known for being hilarious, warm and welcoming and sometimes unpredictable (in good ways)
