Atlanticus, the British-American Jazz quartet perform at The Fitz Community Hub in Kemptown on Tues July 1st
The Concert includes a special multi-media performance of their "Oceanic" Suite.
Oceanic is an original set of five interconnected pieces, set to film, reflecting our relationship with the oceans, exploring the beauty and diversity of marine life but also raising awareness about the impact of human activity on these vital ecosystems,
Their concert at The Fitz on July 1st is one of just 3 on this tour where they will be performing Oceanic - an eco-focused suite which is an original set of five interconnected pieces with film backdrop, reflecting humanity’s relationship with the oceans.
ATLANTICUS is a led US saxophonist Peter Fraize, and UK organist Terry Seabrook, with trumpeter Jack Kendon and drummer Milo Fell. They have recently returned from a tour of the USA promoting their newest album which has had great reviews in Downbeat and Jazzwise. Their music blends an original modern sound with the hard swinging vibe great Hammond organ groups,
The Fitz Community Hub houses the Brighton Real Junk Food Project and the Brighton Table Tennis Club and this is a charity concert which Atlanticus is doing to raise money for the development of the Fitz to accommodate further music events, especially by young people.
