Philosophy graduate Albert finds his job as a bridge painter gives him a new perspective on life up high.
The year is 1968, and Clufton Bay is spanned by a huge cantilevered railway bridge which requires endless painting. Thanks to cutbacks, or rather, “efficiencies”- Albert is the only person left assigned to this herculean task. With a wife and child at home the question emerges: can he remain grounded in reality?
