Make your own bike bag

On Sunday 18th May the Brighton and Hove Girls Mountain Bike Network are running a “make your own bikebag” workshop.

We are going to be upcycling some old materials to make bikepacking snackbags. These bags attach onto handlebars and are perfect for easy access to snacks, water bottles and phones while out on rides.

During the workshop we will be:

• Using scissors to cut out the pieces of material
• Using pins and sewing needles to attach the pieces together
• An adult from the team will do the final stitching on the sewing machines unless parents have otherwise given permission for their child to do it.

What to bring – All materials are provided but if you have any fabric scraps you would like to include e.g. old or broken waterproofs, old backpacks, old jeans, ikea bags etc. then feel free to bring them along to incorporate and help tackle fabric waste ♻️

Location – Student Castle Community Room, 4 Pelham Terrace, Brighton BN2 4GS

Time – 12-4pm
