Duration: 1 x 90 minute bitesize course
Who should attend: Managers, owners and early years practitioners
What you learn on the course
The curriculum expectations for early years settings are clearly stated within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted inspection handbook (EYIH). Curriculum means what you want children to learn when they are at your setting, based around the seven areas of learning and encompassing all of the key skills children need in order to be successful in their next stage of learning.
This short course will help early years professionals shape a well-rounded, practical, and collaborative approach to curriculum development through exploring how to make the curriculum meaningful and relevant for your setting and the needs of your children. It will suggest ways to implement curriculum goals to enhance each child's learning experience and offer a range of strategies for sharing the curriculum vision with your community.

• Understand the term curriculum in relation to everyday practice
• Begin to develop a curriculum overview for your own setting
