Coding Club: Create, Play & Code

Get ready to dive into the world of game design, coding, and creativity at Coding Club: Create, Play & Code! Using fun, drag-and-drop tools like Microsoft MakeCode and Code Arcade, kids ages 9-12 will work together to build their own simple games and animations. No experience needed—just curiosity, imagination and your own device (Windows or Mac laptop or tablet). Projects are easy to follow, and kids can go at their own pace. If interest grows, we may expand into using real micro:bits for coding physical devices like robots and sensors!

Led by an occupational therapist, this group supports important skills like sequencing, planning, visual scanning, and sticking with a task—while having a blast coding cool stuff. Each session takes place in the Great Space, providing a comfortable and collaborative environment for learning and creativity.

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to drop off participants for this group, as it is designed to support independent engagement and peer interaction.

Multiple sessions are available to suit your schedule—join one, a few, or all!
