Tick and Twitch Challenge

We invite you to start your very own Bird List for 2026 at Bryngarw Park!

A bird list is a great way to keep track of the birds you spot, learn how to identify common birds, and to challenge yourself to find new and unusual birds! Come to our café and pick up your very own bird list, once completed, enter your list into a draw to win a pair of binoculars.

The challenge will run from the 2nd of January to the 11th of January, so take your time and visit Bryngarw Country Park as many times as you like to try and spot new birds for your list. Just make sure you enter your list by 4pm on the 11th of January 2026 to be in the chance to win a pair of binoculars.

The winner will be the person who has spotted the highest number of credible bird species at Bryngarw Country Park. There will be separate competition for adults and children, with a prize for each.

Bird lists are £3 for children and £5 for adults and available to purchase from the cafe.
