LEGEND (1985, 90 mins) Join us for the 40th Anniversary of the Quintessential 1980's fantasy-adventure from director Ridley Scott (Blade Runner). Featuring a soundtrack by Tangerine Dream and set in a timeless mythical forest inhabited by fairies, goblins, and unicorns. This fantastical fairytale stars a baby-faced Tom Cruise as a mystical forest dweller, pure-of-heart and chosen by fate, to undertake a heroic quest. He must save the fate of the unicorns, rescue beautiful Princess Lily (Mia Sara) and defeat the demonic Lord of Darkness (Tim Curry), or the entire world will be plunged into a never-ending ice age. Preshow features a darkwave synth performance by Dutch Experts + bring your most diabolical guffaw to enter our evil laugh contest and win prizes!
Born from the shadows of the pandemic, Dutch Experts is the creative alter ego of Brattleboro, Vermont-based singer/songwriter Hannah Hoffman. Hoffman channeled her isolation and inner turmoil into a sonic catharsis, experimenting with layered synths and electronic rhythms crafted in GarageBand, birthing a soundscape both equally haunting and danceable. Inspired by goth icons like The Cure, ethereal voices such as Kate Bush and Cocteau Twins, and contemporary darkwave, indie rock, pop and post punk acts, her music fuses 80s retro‑synth textures with modern production. Her debut EP, 'Bound by This' received critical praise for its cinematic, emotionally intense sound: A&R factory calling it, “one of the most cinematic soundscapes possible in our lifetime". Currently in the process of recording her first full-length album, Hoffman continues to expand her sonic horizons, establishing Dutch Experts as a compelling voice in the contemporary darkwave/synth-pop revival.
