Starting Pay: $14.50/hr
Schedule: Full-time & Part-time | Must have open availability including weekends & holidays
Are you 18 or older with a passion for dogs, a strong work ethic, and an active lifestyle? The Dog Patch is launching a new hands-on Pet Care Counselor Training Program designed to turn dog lovers into confident and capable canine caregivers!

Hardworking team players who are passionate about animal welfare
Open-minded individuals who are eager to learn and grow
Reliable transportation is a must
Willingness to accept feedback—because our work saves lives
Comfortable working outdoors and on your feet for extended periods
About the Training Program:
All new trainees will:
Start at $14.50/hr during the structured training period
Train hands-on alongside experienced leads and mentors
Complete online IBPSA dog care & safety certification courses
Learn and demonstrate skills in:
Dog body language and group play dynamics
Proper handling, kennel lead use, and redirection techniques
Managing both solo dogs and playgroups with confidence and care
Shuttle driving for dog pickup/drop-off (if over 21 with clean record)
Additional Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Must be able to lift 40 lbs and stay on your feet throughout the shift.
Great communication, attention to detail, and positive energy are key.
Bilingual is a plus, but not required
