T'ai Chi Chih (6-week series, July 8-Aug 19)

This is a 6-week course for $80, from July 8-Aug 19 (no class on 8/12). A drop in rate of $18 is available for the first two dates only (7/8 & 7/15) for new students, or any date for returning students. This is to assure that if you are new to the practice, you learn the entire sequence of movements in the proper order first.

Experience "serenity in the midst of activity" as we practice 19 gentle, fluid movements and 1 pose in the non-martial art of T'ai Chi Chih, a moving meditation. Originated in 1974 by an American, Justin Stone, these movements can be performed by individuals of most any age, ability, or condition; while standing or sitting.

Some of the many reported benefits include stress reduction, increased energy, improved balance, mental alertness, and enhanced creativity. Scientific studies have shown that T'ai Chi Chih has boosted the immune system response of the elderly, reduced anxiety, reduced depression, and relieved pain. No experience or special attire is needed. All are welcome!
