Friendly Friday is back!
This Friday (3rd October) sees the return of Friendly Friday Cafe.
Friendly Friday is a safe space.
It’s an important space. It provides a vital and cherished lifeline in the community allowing its cafe community to come together every week and have some human contact.
It brings together people of all ages and backgrounds and nurtures friendship.
They don’t ask for a penny.
Donations are received with thanks of course, but every single person they welcome, is welcomed as they are, and given counsel if needed, friendship, a scrumptious and hearty freshly home cooked meal with oodles of tea and coffee and biscuits and topped off with, quite frankly, the most delicious cake you could hope for.
Without expectations, assumptions or judgement.
They are exactly what they say they are. A friendly Friday Cafe.
It runs for everyone.
The cafe runs, and survives, on the generosity of the team who give their time each week and those who donate the vital funds and supplies to keep its cupboards stocked.
The team is made up of a group of volunteers who give their time, resources and energy, for free, to create and maintain the provision of the cafe.
The team do this for the love of the cafe and the community they have built but they need help to survive and stay open.
They don’t ask for donations, nor do they expect them, but they do need them in order to survive. They have some truly amazing supporters who help keep them open.
If you’d like to join them and support the Friendly Friday Cafe by way of donation, please email the office who will be happy to assist you whether it’s a one off donation, a rolling monthly donation or a bag of supplies.
