Get fired up for our very first glass fusing class at Groovy Glaze! In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll create a stunning Poppy Flower Sun Catcher using real glass—no prior experience needed.
🔍 What is glass fusing?
Glass fusing is the process of arranging pieces of glass into a design and then firing them in a kiln until they fuse together. For this project, we’ll be using a tack fuse, which means the glass will melt just enough to stick together—but not flatten completely—leaving beautiful, raised textures and a dimensional, almost 3D look.
💡 What to expect
You’ll learn how to cut and layer glass safely with guidance from your instructor
All materials and protective gear will be provided
The class will run for just over 90 minutes
Your finished piece will be fired after class and ready for pickup in about a week
This is a perfect way to try something new and make art that catches the light in all the right ways. 🌞
