Sun 5/25, Sewing Bootcamp: Cross Body Bag with a zipper, 11-5:30pm

In our basic Sewing Bootcamp, we guide you through a beginner Sewing workshop to learn how to use a sewing machine for projects. This class is longer and covers more ground than our Sewing 101 class, it's a great refresher or newbie class. Learn basic sewing skills including: how to cut fabric, how to use a simple pattern, how to perform a few different stitches, creating gussets & hems, installing a zipper and basic bag construction. You will also learn how to operate a basic sewing machine.

You will create a a cross body bag/ fanny pack and a zipper pouch over class. With this project, you will gain a solid foundation of machine sewing. You may not be ready to win Project Runway quite yet, but at least you’ll be able to sew that ripped pillow on your couch, hem your pants. after taking this class. Once you learn the basics, we can recommend some great local spots for more advanced workshops or you can take any of our Sewing 102 workshops (check out our patchwork class) Please bring a packed lunch or snacks with you since its a longer class.

Supplies Needed: We supply all fabric and the machines, using a simple Singer 4432 Heavy Duty machine that transfers knowledge easily. Please don't bring your own machine.
