Swift walk and talk – celebrating Swift Awareness Week

Description: Learn about swifts during Swift Awareness Week, which runs from 28 June to 6 July 2025.
Join Barbara Polonara, who co-leads Wild Bracknell, on a walk and talk about these amazing birds who are masters of the sky.
Find out what ‘swooping’ action is being taken to address their declining numbers.

When: Friday 4 July. 6.30pm-8pm

Route: Start at the green verge at Stoney Road and Binfield Road. Cross at the pedestrian traffic lights, then follow Binfield Road. Turn left into Dukeshill Road then right into Fraser Road, then right again at the garage complex in Fraser Road. Finish at the cul de sac in Binfield Road.

Accessibility: The walk is accessible for all, on pavement and is about three quarters of a mile in distance, with frequent stops.

Other information: Dogs on leads welcome. Kids must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
