For our 3rd tournament of the season we are heading to Wood Lake in Bracebridge.
Wood Lake offers solid bass fishing this time of year, with both largemouth and smallmouth active in shallow bays, around W**d edges, and near rocky structure. As water temps warm, topwater lures and shallow cranks can trigger aggressive strikes early and late in the day. It’s a great setting for a competitive and rewarding day on the water.
We’ll be launching from Wood Lake public launch at the end of Fox Point Road (see map below).
Please note that the parking is going to be tight for this one. We will ask that everyone gets in a line up to back in to unload their kayaks, and move out of the way to let others through. Unfortunately there is no parking available right at launch but you will be able to park along the road leading up to the launch - bring your carts if you have them! We will do boat and board checks at the launch as always.

This is classic, competitive kayak bass fishing.
- No motors.
- No forward-facing/360 sonars.
- 3 fish limit.
- Lines in water 6:00 am. Lines out at 3:00 pm. (No fish accepted on and after 3:00 pm)
- Shotgun start at Wood Lake Public Launch. (Wait for blastoff announcement)
- Board and kayak inspections prior to 6:00 am.

- Awards for top 4 and giveaways will take place between 3:30 and 4 pm at launch.
- Captain's meeting at 8:15 pm on Saturday August 2 via Facebook Live.
