Yoga for Better Back: Relief Through Mindful Movement
Do you live with back pain and wonder if yoga could help—but worry it might make things worse? You're not alone.

This beginner-friendly workshop is designed for anyone experiencing chronic or occasional back discomfort. No prior yoga experience is needed—just a willingness to move gently and explore what feels good in your body.

Yoga is a powerful tool for alleviating low back pain by stretching and strengthening the muscles that support the spine. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to engage key muscle groups—like the paraspinals and abdominals—in a safe, mindful way that supports healing and reduces tension.

While yoga has the potential to relieve pain, it’s true that poor form or rushing into poses can lead to injury. That’s why this workshop emphasizes slow, controlled movement and proper alignment—helping you build a strong, stable foundation to move with confidence and ease.

IN THIS WORKSHOP YOU WILL LEARN:
~How to engage your muscles to build a stable foundation, allowing you to gently lengthen, stretch, and stabilize your body.
~How mindful yoga practice can improve both mobility and strength while easing tension in tight, achy back and leg muscles.
~How to assess specific poses to determine which are most beneficial for your body, and how to adjust them using props or positioning for maximum comfort and safety.

We’ll practice 5–8 foundational poses you can use at home, and there will be time for discussion and questions throughout.

Whether your back pain is new, long-term, or somewhere in between, this workshop offers a supportive space to move mindfully and feel better—one gentle stretch at a time.
