Join Keytress for a 3-day Summer Songwriting Series designed to guide you from blank page to finished piece. This hybrid workshop includes three 2-hour sessions and is open to mature teens and adults (ages 15+).
Whether you’re a first-time writer or a budding songwriter looking to grow, you’ll walk away with something uniquely your own.
Session Breakdown:
Thursday June 5, 1:00-3:00pm—Session 1: Lyrics & Form (In-Person)
Learn how to express your ideas through lyrics, explore common song structures, and start shaping your story.
Friday June 6, 10:00am-12:00pm—Session 2: Melody & Chords (Online via Zoom)
Explore melody writing, chord progressions, and how to use BandLab or your own instrument to bring your song to life.
Optional Online Office Hours:
Friday June 6, 5:00-6:00pm— Drop in my zoom room for extra one-on-one help!
Saturday June 7, 11:00am-12:00pm— Zoom drop-in for extra help!
Saturday June 7, 3:00-5:00pm—Session 3: Song Share (In-Person)
Celebrate your work in a supportive group setting. Share your finished song—or work in progress—with others!
Students should have access to at least one of the following:
An instrument they feel comfortable using*
A laptop, iPad, or computer for digital music creation
A Zoom-compatible device for the online session
Space is limited!
