Biography
Chris Salyer is a multi-talented, award-winning singer/songwriter from Bloomdale, Ohio. Chris’s natural ability to connect with an audience has set him apart from many others in the industry and has earned him a loyal fan base. Chris shines with his blues-influenced country music which is obvious to listeners on his single “Last Night in Town” which won Blues Song of the Year at the 2017 Ohio Music Awards. Chris has currently recorded a total of 5 projects with his latest being “Stanton Sessions” which has earned multiple spins both on college radio and on commercial radio.
Chris primarily plays music as a solo artist but also enjoys playing music in two other bands. In 2020, Chris was a contestant on Season 20 of the Voice. In 2021 alone, Chris has played over 55 shows including performing in Nashville, TN, performing multiple times at Put-in-Bay, and also opening the show for Grammy Award winning artist Gwen Stefani at Promenade Park in Toledo, Ohio in front of a crowd of 15,000 people. Chris has graced the stages at some of the Nation’s most notable music venues including South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. Chris has coordinated tours and has performed at various venues in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas. In the past, Chris has had the honor of sharing the stage with artists such as Frankie Ballard, Cody Jinks, Love & Theft, The Moonshine Bandits, Aaron Watson, Upchurch, Casey Donahew, Jon Langston, Ryan Bingham, Collective Soul, Candlebox, Red Wanting Blue, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, and many others.
Chris is a member and songwriter for Broadcast Music International Inc (BMI) and is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI). His writing skills have been recognized by NSAI as they have marked him as “one to watch”. Chris enjoys endorsements from Impact Picks and Nicola Brand Strings.
