It’s more than a camp—it’s a home away from home, where culture and community come together in unforgettable ways.

At the heart of this experience is Executive Chef Tarik Abdullah, who brings soulful, culturally significant meals to life in the camp kitchen, continuing the legacy of the late Executive Chef Wayne Johnson. Each made-from-scratch meal is a celebration of love, tradition, and belonging that nourishes our body and spirit. Around the tables and on the campground, memories are made, friendships are forged, and the vibrant essence of BIPOC outdoor community shines.

Samish Island Nature and Adventure Camp is the only all-inclusive sleepover summer camp of its kind in the region. This 4-night, 5-day retreat blends culture, adventure, and the natural world into an experience that fortifies mind, body, and soul.
