🇬🇧 The Swedish-Argentinian singer-songwriter José González has managed to conquer the world's great stages with only three solo albums in 18 years – from Sydney to Berlin and Barcelona, all the way to London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall. Since his debut single Crosses in 2003, González has remained true to his intimate and introspective style. His music is characterized by delicate guitar playing, a soft, almost whispered voice, and minimalist arrangements that create a meditative, almost hypnotic atmosphere. With his highly anticipated fourth album, Local Valley, he seamlessly continues this singular aesthetic. The work exudes a rare serenity, offering a soothing refuge in a loud and fast-paced world. As always, he blends refined melodies with profound lyrics, proving once again that true greatness does not need to be loud to shine. This year, González returns to the Festival de Wiltz, where he last performed in 2017, captivating the audience once again with his enchanting sound.

🇩🇪 Der schwedisch-argentinische Singer-Songwriter José González hat es geschafft, mit nur drei Solo-Alben in 18 Jahren die großen Bühnen der Welt zu füllen – von Sydney über Berlin und Barcelona bis hin zur ehrwürdigen Royal Albert Hall in London. Seit seiner ersten Single Crosses im Jahr 2003 bleibt González seiner leisen, introspektiven Art treu. Sein musikalischer Stil ist geprägt von filigranem Gitarrenspiel, sanfter, oft fast gehauchter Stimme und minimalistischen Arrangements, die eine meditative, fast hypnotische Wirkung entfalten. Mit seinem lange erwarteten vierten Album Local Valley knüpft González nahtlos an diesen unverwechselbaren Stil an. Das Werk strahlt eine besondere Ruhe aus, die in einer lauten, schnelllebigen Welt wie ein seltener Zufluchtsort wirkt. In gewohnter Manier verbindet er feinsinnige Melodien mit tiefgründigen Texten und zeigt einmal mehr, dass wahre Größe nicht laut sein muss.
