This quintessential British domestic drama follows a family whose household is touched by joy and tragedy. Will family unity prevail? Or is the chasm between generations too wide? Torn by conflict, and the painful costs of progress, can the country remain firm in the face of crisis?

When Frank Gibbons returns from fighting in the trenches in France after the Great War, he and his family move into a small suburban house in London. Noel Coward’s brilliant, funny and moving drama takes us on a journey alongside them through 20 turbulent years, leading up to the start of World War Two.

Presented here, at the historic Palace Court Theatre from 22 to 24 May by AUB Productions.
