Understanding Autism through Lived Experience

With support from PAACT (Parents and Autistic Children Together) and the Lincolnshire Autistic Society (LAS), this workshop brings autistic-led insight and meaningful learning to the heart of Boston.

A big thank you to Rob Whiley, Community Connector at Centenary Church, for inviting us to deliver this session and for kindly providing the space to host a lived experience-based workshop within the neurodivergent world at the Centenary Church.

This is a compassionate and interactive peer lead group workshop that combines:

• Personal insight
• Current research
• Practical strategies for support

Rooted in autistic-led perspectives, it offers:

• Flexible activity choices
• Real-world discussion
• Inclusive and accessible learning

Participants will have the opportunity to explore:

• Sensory needs
• Workplace and education barriers
• Language and representation
• Co-occurring conditions
• Identity-first understanding

The aim is to empower empathy, deepen awareness, and inspire supportive action in everyday life.
