Hello all,
Happy June! Krishna and I met to talk about the upcoming events. It seems there are a lot of events this month, and we are trying to make the best out of it to work with Deaf Night Out. For instance, this weekend is Pride weekend in Boston. Fly High group is hosting an all-day volleyball event with an event of their own that evening at Cold Harbor Brewing in Westboro. If you are interested in going, I encourage you to make reservations in advance. Space is limited, so do not miss making a reservation before it is too late! There are workshops already happened or are coming up this month related to interpreters, deaf-blind, etc.
We decided to host an event on June 21st, 2025, on Saturday at 6:30 pm at The Westland. It is located at 10 Westland Ave, Boston, MA! Go there for socializing, drinks, food, catching up with new friends, and hanging out with old friends. We found out about a three-day workshop for interpreters that weekend, so if you are attending that workshop at Northeastern University for that, feel free to join us at that event afterward. It is also coincidentally the first day of summer, so why not celebrate your summer off with Deaf Night Out?
Krishna and I will announce later about the July and August event! We may even host a day event as well this summer. Keep an eye out! We are open to ideas, suggestions, and so on from our beloved deaf community. If you also want to host an event, do not be shy! We will support you!
I will see you there, as Krishna will be out of town that weekend!
Edit: I made a mistake. The Facebook group page for Deaf Volleyball is called Flying Hands. They are hosting a tournament this Saturday, June 14th and afterwards, will continue the fun at Cold Brewing
