Memorial Day Reflections

Memorial Day observance for Unitarian Universalists can be a powerful tonic to celebrate our forbears who fought and died in the name of freedom.

Despite the obvious disconnect, our commitment as UUs to the pursuit of peaceful conflict resolution does not need to dampen our celebration but, rather, can be spurred all the more fervently by exposing the physical and emotional toll war can impose.

Lory Whitehead, Taz Kim, and other fellowship members will provide their views on why Memorial Day is meaningful to them.
