Step back in time with Horn in the West, Boone, NC’s iconic outdoor drama! 🌄 This one-of-a-kind performance brings the story of Daniel Boone and the fight for American independence to life in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
As the Daniel Boone Amphitheater undergoes renovations this season, this year’s production will take place at Hickory Ridge History Museum, offering a more intimate, immersive, and community-driven experience. For 2025, Horn in the West™ will feature a fully local cast and create an up-close, interactive performance in and around the historic cabins.
We are thrilled to welcome Clarinda Ross as our 2025 director! A celebrated professional actor, director, and playwright, Ross has appeared on stage and screen with credits including "Teenage Bounty Hunters" (Netflix), "E.R.", "The Drew Carey Show", and more. She’s worked with renowned theaters like the Alliance Theatre, The Alley Theatre, and Barter Theatre, and currently teaches at Los Angeles City College Theater Academy. As a Boone native with deep roots in the High Country, Ross brings a fresh, locally inspired vision to Horn in the West™.
