Bushcraft Wilderness Survival Class for Kids!

Join us for Fiber Arts Class!

Spend July 21 - 25, 2025 (9am-12:30 pm) Spend a week with us making friends, learning and playing in the woods! ~ ages 7 to 14 welcome!

Class is held at our school tent in Belchertown, MA on the edge of a beautiful woodland forest. Families are encouraged to connect and establish carpools to make getting to us easier. We are about 10 minutes from Amherst and 20 minutes from Northampton.

We've got great activities planned for our 2025 camp!

Bushcraft is a set of skills and knowledge that help people survive and thrive in the outdoors. It involves using minimal equipment and working with nature to meet needs.
Bushcraft skills that we will cover:
• Shelter building: Constructing a place to stay dry/safe
• Firecraft: Making a fire using natural materials
• Foraging: Finding food in the wild
• Collecting water: Finding clean water to drink
• Navigation: Using natural landmarks to find your way around
• Nature Crafts: Creating art from natural materials
• Campfire cooking: Preparing food over the fire
• Plant identification: Learning to recognize plants for food and other uses
Bushcraft is about developing an intimate knowledge of the natural world and learning to work with it. It's also about reducing reliance on man-made tools and equipment.


*Please wear sturdy shoes with tall socks, bring a healthful snack and water bottle.

Bushcraft Camp cost is $150 plus a $10 materials fee. Secure your child’s spot by sending a $50 deposit as early as possible. The balance of $110 will be due by June 1st.
