Somatic Breathwork with Ruthie Peredo

Somatic Breathwork is a practice that helps us to build and repair our relationship with our nervous system. We use our breath to go inward and release anxiety, stress, grief, shame, or overwhelm we may be experiencing. We then intentionally call in joy, fulfillment, gratitude, love, and connection to ourselves and community. Somatic Breathwork helps to create space and clarity while empowering the individual. In the first half of class we will activate the nervous system bringing to the surface what the body is ready to release. This response can look like laughing, screaming, crying, shaking. During the second half of class we slow our breath and regulate the activation that has just occurred. Through the intentional regulation of our nervous system we strengthen our relationship with our nervous system which allows us to intentionally repattern our stress response in a safe environment. All levels of experience with breathwork are welcome as you will be supported and guided throughout your experience in class.
