Chalk the Walk: Queer Joy & Solidarity at the Capitol

While some are gathering to celebrate “Hetero Awesome Fest,” we’ll be showing up to reclaim space through quiet resistance and bold visibility. Join us for a peaceful, creative chalk walk around Cecil D Andrus Park to spread messages of love, inclusion, and queer joy.

No shouting, no arguing—just rainbows, affirmations, and art that speaks for itself.

What to bring:
• Chalk (lots of it!)
• Water & snacks
• Signs or wearable messages of support (optional)
• Your voice—shared through color and creativity, not confrontation

Let’s fill the sidewalks with stories, symbols, and messages of unity that can’t be ignored. This is a public park, and we have every right to show up with pride, presence, and purpose.
