AUDITIONS - Shakespeare Improv Group

We’re looking for improvisers and actors who love bold characters, rich language, and storytelling with heart (and a little mischief). Come help us build something fresh, funny, and full of magic!

COMMITMENT:
Two Thursday nights a month, 7:00–9:00 PM (depending on space availability) to polish the format and then once per month (we could possibly be moved this to after practice if that works for everyone)

PERFORMANCES:
Periodic Friday nights at The Green Room

COMPENSATION: Comps for friends and family and share of ticket sales once theater revenue thresholds are met

HOMEWORK:
You'll be expected to watch/read selected Shakespeare plays to get familiar with with the material. This will be periodically asked to stay fresh with it as well.

AUDITION DETAILS:
Audition will include ensemble exercises, improvised scenes in Shakespearean style, improvised monologues from prompt, and character work. Focus is on collaborative storytelling and hitting beats/tropes versus perfect iambic pentameter.
