It's Book Club night.

This month's meeting is on the Second Thursday of August. Our chosen book is 'Only The Innocent' by Rachel Abbott.

Synopsis:
Super rich philanthropist Sir Hugo Fletcher is found dead, tied and naked to his four-poster bed, but this latest discovery is only the tip of the iceberg, what else is left lurking behind the cameras? The way Sir Hugo was left leaves detective Tom Douglas certain the killer is a woman.

From the precision of the murder, it’s clear this is no crime of passion, it was most certainly an execution. Sir Hugo was respected and admired for his charitable work with trafficked Eastern European prostitutes. With several of these girls, missing detective Chief Inspector Thomas Douglas is certain there’s a connection between the two.

A web of complex relationships is gradually revealed and nothing is quite as it seems. It appears everyone seems to have something to hide. As every horrific secret is exposed, DCI Tom Douglas begins to realise that this is far more than a simple murder case.
