Artist in Focus Tour - Sean Scully

This staff-led gallery conversation centers on Sean Scully, a pivotal voice in contemporary abstraction. For more than fifty years, Scully has pushed abstraction beyond the cool distance of minimalism, infusing it with emotion, rhythm, and a quiet spiritual gravity.

The talk spotlights his work in "Glasstress Boca Raton 2025":

– "Venice Stack" (2020), a nearly eight-foot tower of hollow Murano glass cubes in radiant hues. Each hand-made block extends Scully’s painterly language into three dimensions, capturing movement and light while echoing the color and structure found in his canvases.
