Students ages 18-22: Unleash your musical potential at the College Jazz Institute (CJI), an electrifying, audition-only 5-day program crafted exclusively for collegiate musicians hungry to take their skills to the next level! Running July 9-13, this groundbreaking intensive bridges the gap for students who’ve previously attended the Hilton Head Jazz Camp or simply crave advanced summer training to supercharge their university-level journey. Picture yourself jamming alongside the same award-winning faculty and special guests as the HHJC, guided by the masterful Justin Varnes, a jazz titan in high demand. Dive into a tailor-made curriculum—combo mastery, cutting-edge improvisation, composing, arranging, jazz theory, and handpicked electives—all designed to arm you with the chops and know-how to dominate the music scene. From Wednesday to Saturday, you’ll be immersed in a whirlwind of inspiration, leading up to a finale performance on Sunday, July 13th at 2 PM on Hilton Head Island.
