2025 Fort Wayne Metro USBC - Inaugural "PUPPET MASTER CLASSIC" At EZ Bowl - Bluffton, IN

As EZ Bowl in Bluffton, Indiana officially becomes part of Fort Wayne Metro USBC for the 2025-2026 season, an all new event is here to mark the occasion. Sunday, September 28th, 2025 will see the Inaugural "PUPPET MASTER CLASSIC" take center stage as to pay an homage to the new "string" pin setters the center has recently installed.

The event will also see a unique format that will also have a twist during competition as the format of the final game will determined by the roll of the dice. Full rules and more can be found below...

TOURNAMENT RULES

1 - ELIGIBILITY: The Inaugural “Puppet Master Classic” is a SINGLES event which is eligible to any sanctioned USBC ADULT bowler (NO YOUTH). Competitors must have current/paid sanction upon tournament entry. LOCAL DUES NOT REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION.

2 - FORMAT: Competitors will bowl FOUR (4) games on the same pair with variety of scoring methods. Game 1 will be “standard” scoring, Game 2 will be “3-6-9” and Game 3 will be 9-Pin “No Tap” scoring. Game 4 will be one of the three previously used scoring methods and be determined by the roll of ONE SINGULAR die. If a 1 or 4 is rolled = Traditional Scoring. If a 2 or a 5 is rolled = 3-6-9. If a 3 or 6 is rolled = 9-Pin “No Tap”.

3 - AVERAGES: Entrants will use their highest USBC sanctioned league average based on a minimum of 21 games of 2024-2025 season. If there is no “Yearbook Average,” bowler(s) MUST use highest current average as of time of bowling (MINIMUM 12 GAMES). All others will bowl scratch (220 AVERAGE). TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR HAS THE RIGHT TO “RERATE” A PLAYER’S AVERAGE IF DEEMED NECCESARY.

4 - HANDICAP: The tournament will be handicapped based on 80% of 220.

5 - ENTRY FES: Entry fees must accompany entry to hold spot for competition. Walk-in entries will be accepted, however a LATE FEE will be charged on those entries.

6 - PAYOFF: 100% of the total prize fund will be returned back based upon a 1:4 ratio.

8 – Automatic scorers will be used as the official score sheet. Bowlers will certify their score as being correct at the completion of each game. This will be the only opportunity to correct any scoring error.

9 – ALL USBC RULES WILL BE IN EFFECT. Violation of tournament rules or USBC rules will carry the penalty of disqualification of the bowler with no refund.

10 - USBC Rule 303 will be in effect. (Right to refuse entry).
