Julian Schwarz and Marika Bournaki are an internationally acclaimed cello-piano duo celebrated for their emotive artistry and dynamic performances. Since meeting at the Aspen Music Festival, their musical partnership has earned them global recognition, including winning 1st prize at the Boulder International Chamber Music Competition’s "Art of Duo."
Their extensive touring history includes prestigious venues across North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as critically acclaimed recordings of works by Ernest Bloch and Bright Sheng. In addition to their vibrant concert career, the duo is deeply committed to music education, serving as teaching artists at the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance and the Eastern Music Festival.
