Come visit the Barony of Starkhafn as we gather in the cooler mountains surrounding our fair city for a Triple-A Cèilidh event featuring Archery, Arts, and Activities! This indoor/outdoor celebration offers opportunities to compete, create, and play at a charming, rustic site just outside the Las Vegas Valley. We look forward to welcoming you to a day of merriment, creativity, and camaraderie at the Starkhafn Cèilidh 2025!

ACTIVITIES & COMPETITIONS: Outdoor Activities (early in the day): Baronial Thrown Weapons Championship, Archery Tournament, Youth & Adult Simulated Axe Throwing
Indoor/Clubhouse Activities (air-conditioned!): Sonnet & Limerick Contest, Silent Auction Fundraiser, Block Printing Class with Ovrynka Gaylis Zellekassche ($10, all materials provided), Free Make ‘N’ Take Arts Activity (TBD), Period Board Games, Baronial Chess Championship
LUNCH: Lunch is a partial potluck included in the registration fee. The Barony will provide meat and vegan chili, bottled water, and assorted toppings. Participants are encouraged to bring beverages, desserts, and cold side dishes to share. Feast gear is strongly encouraged, but paper goods will be available. Power outlets are available for crock pots. Please bring ice to keep perishable foods cool.
SITE INFORMATION/RESTRICTIONS: This is a dry site – No alcohol permitted. No swordplay is allowed on site, but archery, throwing knives, and axes are permitted. Limited parking available – carpooling is strongly encouraged. Once the lot fills, overflow parking is along the main road, with a short walk up a dirt road to the clubhouse. Outdoor spaces will include misting fans and shade structures to help keep everyone cool. Flush toilets, a kitchen, and a playground are available on site. Site is accessible but includes uneven terrain.

DIRECTIONS:
From the North (Las Vegas Valley): Take I-15 S to Exit 33 for NV-160 (Blue Diamond Rd toward Pahrump). Continue for 20 miles. Turn left onto Forrest Rd 989, follow approx. 1/4 mile to the site.
From the Northwest/North (NLV, Artemisia, etc.): Take US-95 S or I-215 W to Exit 26 (W Charleston Blvd/NV-159 W). Take NV-159 W for 15 miles. Turn right onto Avery St, then right onto NV-160 W. After 8.8 miles, turn left onto Forrest Rd 989. Site is 1/4 mile ahead.
From the East (Atenveldt/Boulder City): Take I-11 toward Henderson/Las Vegas. Exit 23 to I-215 W, then Exit 12B for I-15 toward LA. Follow signs for NV-160 W/Blue Diamond Rd. Go 20 miles. Turn left onto Forrest Rd 989 and follow to the site.
From the West (Caid): Take I-15 N toward Las Vegas. Exit 33 for NV-160 W/Blue Diamond Road. Go 20 miles. Turn left onto Forrest Rd 989 and follow to the site.
