We’re so excited to welcome local horror and suspense author Sue Rovens to the shop for a book signing in celebration of the release of her latest book, In a Corner Darkly: Volume 3!
Join us on Saturday, July 19 from 10am-12pm to meet the author, check out her books (five suspense novels & three collections of short horror stories), and take home a signed book--or few!
About the Author: Sue Rovens is an indie suspense/horror author who lives in Normal, Illinois. She has written five suspense novels and three books of short horror stories. Her newest book, In a Corner Darkly: Volume 3 is out now!
Track 9, her second novel, received a starred review in Publisher’s Weekly (May 2018), her short story, “Coming Over”, from her book, In a Corner, Darkly (Volume 1) was turned into a screenplay and short student indie film by the theater department of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and another short story, “When the Earth Bled”, won 2nd place in the Support Indie Authors short story contest in 2021and her latest article for ALLi, “We Need to Talk About…Trigger Warnings” came out in spring of 2024.
She has appeared at a variety of events (75 and counting!) throughout Illinois. Sue also contributes book reviews to the Uncomfortably Dark website run by fellow horror/suspense author, Candace Nola.
Sue runs a blog (suerovens.com) which includes interviews with authors, musicians, podcasters, and artists, and is a current member of The Chicago Writers Association and the Alliance for Independent Authors (ALLi).
