🎨 Children's Dreams During War - Exhibition “Faces of the Ukrainian Dream” at Bletchley Park

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The ones who suffered the most from this war are the children.
They had a right to a happy childhood: games, smiles, a cozy home, the warm hugs of loved ones. But war took all of this away from millions of Ukrainian children. Shelling, destruction, occupation, loss - have become their new reality.
“Faces of the Ukrainian Dream” is a project that aims to tell the world about the experiences of Ukrainian children - those who are living through loss, war, and fleeing their homes - and who, despite it all, have not lost their dreams.
Through children’s drawings and stories, we share the voices of those who dream of a safe and happy future, of peace, of home, and of returning to their loved ones.
The project was created by the NGO “All-Ukrainian Association ‘Patriot’”. The exhibition is organized in cooperation with Ukraine Appeal CIO as part of the international “Summer of Peace” program, initiated by Bletchley Park Trust. Commemorating the anniversaries of VE Day and VJ Day, Summer of Peace explores what peace means today through the voices of local young people, artists, communities and our visitors.
Bletchley Park is the home of British codebreaking and the birthplace of modern information technology. A place where codes were once broken to stop a war - today becomes a space where the voices of children are heard, children who dream of an end to a new war in Europe.
We warmly invite you to visit the exhibition and see what Ukrainian children dream of - even in the midst of war.

24 лютого 2022 року Росія розпочала повномасштабне вторгнення в Україну. Найбільше від цієї війни постраждали діти.
Вони мали право на щасливе дитинство: ігри, посмішки, затишний дім, теплі обійми рідних. Але війна забрала це у мільйонів українських дітей. Обстріли, руйнування, окупація, втрати — стали їх новою реальністю.
“Обличчя Української Мрії” — це проєкт, який покликаний розповісти світові про досвід українських дітей, які переживають втрати, війну, втечу з рідного дому — і попри все, не втратили мрію. Через дитячі малюнки й розповіді ми доносимо голоси дітей, які мріють про безпечне та щасливе майбутнє, про мир, дім, повернення до близьких.
Проєкт створено ГО “Всеукраїнське об’єднання “Патріот”. Виставку організовано у співпраці з Ukraine Appeal CIO в межах міжнародної програми “Summer of Peace”, ініційованої Bletchley Park Trust.
Відзначаючи річниці Дня Перемоги, «Літо миру» запрошує замислитися над тим, що означає мир сьогодні — очима дітей, митців, громад і наших відвідувачів.
Bletchley Park — це колиска британського шифрування та місце народження сучасних інформаційних технологій. Місце, де колись розшифровували коди, щоб зупинити війну, сьогодні стає простором, де лунають голоси дітей, які мріють про кінець нової війни в Європі.
