Formed in 2005, the band features Everett Smithson on harmonica and vocals, Phil Schmid on guitar, Bill Black on stand-up bass, and Victor Span on drums—each a powerhouse in their own right, with deep roots in the national blues scene. Over the years, they’ve toured and played with legends like Bo Diddley, Kim Wilson, and Big George Jackson, laying down grooves that are as tasteful as they are electrifying.
In 2006, Everett’s wife Kathy Smithson joined the band, adding accordion and a vibrant Creole twist to their sound. Her mix of tunes from Wanda Jackson, LaVern Baker, and Memphis Minnie gives the group a unique flair that sets them apart from the rest. With five albums under their belt and a stage presence full of heart and soul, this is a band that brings both passion and serious talent to every performance.
