Let’s meet for dinner at Falafel Café, a great Middle Eastern spot next to UAB, truly the home of the best falafel in Alabama. It's very vegan friendly, and they use no preservatives, no MSG, no stock, and no animal fat in anything.

The falafel sandwich is a great option (choice of pita or laffa for the bread), or enjoy the salad, rice, hummus, etc. You can add as many toppings as you like, and there are excellent sides, including grape leaves, lentil soup, tabbouleh, and baba ghanoush. Please remember to order vegan, which is easy to do at Falafel Café. 😊
There is street parking, plus Falafel Café is just a block south of the Downtown Publix parking deck.
