Bourbon lovers, cocktail explorers, and community-minded folks—this is your night. Every third Thursday, The Collins Bar and Alabama Bourbon Club come together for an evening of rare pours, original cocktails, and giving back. This month, we’re raising donations for First Light Shelter, and we’re inviting you to be part of something great.
The bar will be rolling out a special bourbon cocktail menu built to guide you from approachable and playful drinks to complex and spirit-forward creations featuring rare spirits, layered flavors, and thoughtful technique. Whether you're just getting curious about bourbon or you're a seasoned drinker chasing the next great pour, there’s something here for you.
Here’s a teaser from the menu:
Golden Hour
A Gold Rush Fizz with an apricot twist. Light, bright, and refreshing. Perfect for the curious sipper.
Lion’s Blood
A clarified Lion’s Tail reimagined as a silky milk punch. Warming spices and a hint of pomegranate.
Alabama Noir
Toasted coconut-infused bonded rye, Fernet Branca, and chocolate bitters. Bold, bitter, and made for the cocktail alchemist.
More surprises will be on the menu—and of course, we’ll be pouring excellent whiskey, featuring select single barrels and house picks, with Alabama Bourbon Club members on hand for anyone interested in joining or learning more.
This month, we’re partnering with First Light Shelter, a local nonprofit that provides emergency shelter and housing support for women and children experiencing homelessness. We're collecting donation items at the door. Guests who bring something from the needs list below will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes including gift cards and bar swag.
Requested donations include:
Window cleaner, disinfectant (no wipes), bleach, spray cleaner, Fabuloso, laundry powder, zip-lock bags (gallon and quart), pots and pans, utensils, flip-flops (all sizes), pajama/stretch pants (medium), sports bras (L+), breakfast bars, Pop-Tarts, cereal, coffee, creamer, sugar, Tylenol, lotion, hand soap, and size 4 or 5 diapers.
First Light’s mission:
To offer those experiencing homelessness stable emergency shelter, access to housing programs, and the resources for them to achieve their full potential.
Bring a friend. Bring a bottle to talk about. Bring something to give. We’ll bring the bourbon.
