The Quorum Poets Present Manny Blacksher & Open Mic

Join us as we present Manny Blacksher as our featured poet on Sunday, August 3, at True Story Brewing Company! The reading begins at 7 PM, and an open mic will follow Manny’s set. Open mic sign-up starts at 6:45 PM.

Manny Blacksher is Poetry Editor of the journal of photography and poetry Light and Associate Editor at Dark Harbor Magazine. He was the 2020 recipient of the Horror Writers' Association's 'Dark Poetry Scholarship'. His poems have been shortlisted in The Guardian's Online Poetry Workshop. They've appeared in publications including Poetry Ireland Review, Belfast's Fortnight, Books Ireland, Measure, Unsplendid, Works and Days, Buddhist Poetry Review, Pacific Review, and The Maynard. Most recently, his poems have appeared in Space and Time, The HWA's Poetry Showcase, Short Édition, and Triggerfish Critical Review. He's very pleased to have returned to the Quorum Poets' group in Birmingham.
