Florence-raised, Birmingham-based singer-songwriter Donna Brooks has a distinctive lyrical style and a powerful voice. She released her latest EP, “It’s Just Rain,” in November 2024, and some of its tracks speak to Donna’s recent battle (victorious for now) with breast cancer. Donna is currently working on a full length album, tentatively called “Heart Like a Graveyard.” Her song “It’s Just Rain” recently won first place in the rock category in the Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival Competition.
